After a horrible 13-0 loss to the Oakland A’s on Tuesday night the Red Sox have bounced back and won two straight.
The Sox racked up four runs in the first and never gave up the lead thanks to a great performance by Clay Buchholz. The starter struck out ten, walked two and gave up only two run and six hits in 7.2 innings.
Red Sox insider Sean McAdam joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich to discuss the the change in Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz and when should we be concerned about Stephen Drew?
Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz struggled through last season, but seemed to have turned things around so far this season. Both starters haven’t lost a game they have started and many wonder how much credit can be given to new manager John Farrell?
Has Farrell implemented a noticeably different regiment for the pitchers or does him being a part of this team again just bring the pitchers a sense of comfort and confidence?
Shortstop Stephen Drew started this season with the Red Sox on the seven day DL and has since returned, but has yet to really produce offensively. In 42 at bats Drew has only produced five hits knocking in three runs. When do we start to get concerned with Drew’s performance?
How much longer would you give Drew to get going?
