Felger & Mazz: April 11, 2013

Felger and Massarotti kicked off the day talking about the Boston Red Sox, Joel Hanrahan's blown save, and the Sox 8-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles last night. The guys also discussed the Boston Bruins and their 5-4 win over the New Jersey Devils. What is wrong with Milan Lucic? NHL's Director of Player Safety, Brendan Shanahan addresses New Jersey Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov's elbow to head of Bruins forward Brad Marchand. Volchenkov's elbow landed him a 4-game suspension.

Hour 1

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz discussed the New England Patriots and the offer sheet they have on Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Why didn't the Pats blow the Steelers out of the water with their offer to Sanders? Last night, the Boston Celtics fell to the Brooklyn Nets 101-93. Should fans make anything of last nights loss? How important is NBA playoff seed management? Mike Milbury joined Felger and Massarotti to discuss the Boston Bruins, Milan Lucic's play, Volchenkov's elbow to the head of Marchand, and Carl Soderberg. Finally, the guys talk about the start of The Masters.

Hour 2

During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys talked about the Red Sox, Stephen Drew vs. Jose Iglesias, and Mazz gives his thoughts on Shane Victorino. Where is the intensity from the Boston Bruins? Why is Milan Lucic still getting first line time? It was also announced by the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation that Carl Soderberg will not be released to the NHL.

Hour 3

In the fourth and final hour of Felger and Massarotti, the guy recapped all the topics they covered today. Last night, Joel Hanrahan blew the Red Sox 5-3 lead over the Orioles by giving up 5 runs in the top of the 9th. How long of a leash will John Farrell have for Hanrahan? What can we expect to see from Alfredo Aceves' start tonight? Finally, it's The Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
