Fire on Fox Street in Dorchester

DORCHESTER (CBS) – Boston fire investigators say the careless disposal of a cigarette is to blame for a fire that tore through three triple deckers in Dorchester on Wednesday.

The fire started on a third floor porch at 10 Fox Street and quickly spread to two neighboring buildings.

It took the work of 150 firefighters to douse all the flames.

The fire caused $1.2 million in damages and displaced 30 residents.
