BOSTON (CBS) – The calendar and forecast say it’s still winter but there were two harbingers of spring in the city Monday.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Doug Cope reports

The Duck Tours started their 19th season in Boston Monday morning and The Big Apple Circus is back at City Hall Plaza for its 7th year next Tuesday.

“Last week we had people say we should have opened when it was 50 degrees and we said ‘yeah, we should have’ and we said next week will be fine,” Duck Tours CEO Cindy Brown said. “But you know, the river is melted, the sun is out and people are really happy, what more could you ask for?”

Big Apple Ringmaster John Kennedy Kane says this year’s show is all new. The circus is celebrating their 35th anniversary nationwide.

“If you’ve seen it before, you have never seen a show like this,” Kane said.
