BOSTON (CBS) – According to reports, the New England Patriots have signed wide receiver Danny Amendola. The news comes just hours after Wes Welker agreed to a deal with the Denver Broncos.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports that the former St. Louis Rams WR has agreed to a five-year, $31 million deal with the Patriots.
In 2012, Amendola played in 11 games, averaged 10.6 yards per reception and scored three touchdowns.
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has previously coached Amendola when they were both in St. Louis.
