BOSTON (CBS) – A marine biologist from Massachusetts has taken his work to Florida, where he is helping a team tag great white sharks in order to learn about their behavior.
Shark expert Greg Skomal, from the Massachusetts Department of Marine Fisheries, joined a team from OCEARCH in Jacksonville.
The team recently tagged this 14-foot great white, and named her Lydia.
These same experts have been tagging sharks on Cape Cod during the summer months, and tracking them for the past couple of years.
