BROCKTON (CBS) – A Brockton man is facing drug trafficking charges after State Police found almost a half kilo of heroin hidden in the center console of his car.
A State Trooper pulled over the car driven by Julio Monteiro, 26, around 5:30 p.m. on Monday after noticing the car’s windshield was cracked.
The Trooper decided that Monteiro, who had a suspended license, was acting suspiciously.
A pat frisk search turned up about $4,500, and a K-9 search of the car turned up 450 grams of heroin were hidden inside a compartment.
Monteiro was charged with trafficking in heroin, operating with a suspended license, motor vehicle equipment violation, and failure to signal.
