WORCESTER (CBS) – A Holy Cross graduate is giving the school its largest single gift in history.

Cornelius B. Prior, Jr., a 1956 graduate of the school who is now an executive at Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. in Beverly, is donating $25 million.

The gift will go toward enhance the arts at Holy Cross. Prior said he and the school are discussing specifically how the funds will be spent on fine and performing arts for all students.

Prior’s grandson, Benjamin Ritter, is a freshman at Holy Cross.
