Police Investigate Two Daytime Sexual Assaults In Roxbury

ROXBURY (CBS) – Boston Police are warning residents after two women were sexually assaulted in Roxbury.

The first happened around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday near Egleston Square. Officers say the suspect approached the victim and struck up a conversation. He lured the woman to an abandoned property around 2900 Washington Street and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect in that attack is described as a black man in his 30s, clean shaven, about 5'8" tall, between 150 and 200 lbs, wearing a dark colored knit winter watchman's style cap, a blue jacket with a green-colored under collar, light colored pants, dark colored sneakers with a white tip and side stripe.

The second attack happened Sunday morning just before 8 a.m. in the same area.

The victim in that attack told officers she had met the suspect earlier in the week and they agreed to meet up with him.

That victim was also led to an abandoned property near 2900 Washington Street and was sexually assaulted.

That victim gave a similar description of the suspect, but indicated he was about 5'9" or 5'10"tall with a husky build, and weighed about 200 lbs. He was wearing a blue winter hat, blue winter jacket, dark colored pants and possibly black boots.

Police are asking anyone with info to contact them.
