Concord, NH Winter Carnival Postponed Because It's Not Wintery Enough
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — It's not quite wintery enough for the annual Winter Carnival in Concord, N.H.
The carnival was scheduled for Saturday at White Park, but the city's recreation department has postponed it until Feb. 2 due to poor ice conditions on the park's skating pond. A Nordic Fest scheduled for Saturday at the city's Beaver Meadow Golf Course also was canceled due to limited snow.
The city does hope to go ahead with its third annual Black Ice Pond Hockey Championship Jan 25- 27.
