US Marshals Find Suspect Hiding Behind False Wall In NH Home
CONCORD, NH (CBS) – US Marshals arrested a fugitive in Allenstown, New Hampshire on Friday after finding him hiding behind a false wall in a bedroom closet.
Authorities say Jonathan Higgins, 20 was wanted for a probation violation after being convicted of burglary and drug offenses.
An initial search of the home did not turn up Higgins, but during a more thorough second search, officers found Higgins hiding behind a false wall.
Police say Higgins fought officers as they tried to arrest him. He was hit with a stun gun during the altercation.
Along with the outstanding arrest warrant, Higgins will also face charges of resisting arrest.
Katelyn Schmidt, 20; Kelvin Lawrence, 25; and Jeanette Willey, 76 were also charged for allegedly lying to police. The three, who were in the house, had told police Higgins was not there.
