Person Struck And Killed On I-290 In Worcester

WORCESTER (CBS) – A person was struck and killed on I-290 East in Worcester during rush hour Monday evening.

State Police say the person exited a car while it was moving and was hit by a tractor-trailer. The car then traveled approximately 600 feet before coming to a rest in the left lane.

State Police shut down the eastbound lanes near the Auburn-Worcester line while they investigated.

The highway was reopened by 8:20p.m.
