MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – A man has been charged with second degree assault after he allegedly struck his girlfriend’s 2-month-old daughter in the face on Christmas.
Brian Reeves, 33, was arrested around 7 p.m. on Christmas after he called his girlfriend and told her the child was injured.
According to police, the girlfriend returned home from running errands to find her daughter had bruising and swelling on the right side of her face.
Police say during their investigation, they found out Reeves had struck the baby with his hand when she wouldn’t stop crying.
The baby was taken to Elliot Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
