BOSTON (CBS) – Following a stellar Monday night performance against the Houston Texans, Tom Brady has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Brady was 21-for-35 for 296 yards and four touchdowns in Monday night’s 42-14 win over Houston.
It’s the third time this season Brady has earned the award, and 23rd time for his career — setting a new NFL record.
Brady also earned Player of the Week honors this season following New England’s 52-28 win over Buffalo in Week 4 and their 45-7 win over St. Louis in London in Week 8.
For the season, Brady has 3,833 yards and 29 touchdowns to just four interceptions.
