BSOTON (CBS) – With Boston College’s 5-2 win over Boston University on Saturday night, head coach Jerry York inched a step closer to history.

The win is number 924 of York’s career, tying him with Ron Mason as college hockey’s all-time wins leaders.

In 41 seasons as a head coach, York is 924-558-94 at Clarkson, Bowling Green and Boston College.

The win also means the top-ranked Eagles — now 11-2 on the season — take the season series against their arch-rival BU Terriers.
