BOSTON (CBS) – The Massachusetts State Police and U.S. Marines are teaming up again this year to help kids in need get holiday toys.
The annual Toys For Tots holiday drive kicked off Wednesday at the State Police Barracks in South Boston. The drive has been going on for the past 30 years.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Ben Parker reports
“It’s about children and it’s about the holiday season and it’s about less-fortunate children that don’t have the privilege or benefit most of us have and grew up with,” State Police Lt. Col. Timothy Alben said.
New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at State Police barracks through December 17 and many other locations across the state.
A “Fill A Cruiser” day is scheduled for Saturday at eight Toys R Us locations state-wide.
For a complete list of toy drop-off locations, go to the Toys For Tots Website.
