Fists Fly As Worcester Sharks, Portland Pirates Play Some Old Time Hockey
BOSTON (CBS) -- We all know there's no NHL hockey going on anywhere in the world right now, and fans of the sport thoroughly miss the action that only hockey can provide.
Fortunately, there's still the AHL, and while it may not be the Bruins and Canadiens' line brawl last season, the Worcester Sharks and Portland Pirates put on quite the show over the weekend.
The two Atlantic Division teams faced off Saturday night in Worcester, and what ensued was equal parts hockey, fist fights and chaos.
The box score reads more like War and Peace, with the teams combining for 143 penalty minutes, including 15 fighting penalties, seven roughing penalties, three unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and a pair of game misconducts.
The Sharks eventually won 5-1, but the sparse crowd inside the DCU Center were the real winners.

The two teams play each other again Friday night in Portland. Do you think there might be some carry-over from this one?
