BOSTON (CBS) — After signing a big-money deal in the offseason, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has found his first big-money purchase.

According to TMZ, Gronkowski recently purchased a $1.6 million house in Tampa, Fla. The 4,781-square-foot home features an infinity pool, four bedrooms, five bathrooms, fish tanks, a spa and an ocean view. The report also said there are three “outdoor entertainment areas,” so hopefully one of those is fit for Gronkowski to let loose a few football spikes when he’s feeling amped up.

Still just 23 years old, Gronkowski signed a six-year, $53 million extension with the Patriots prior to the season, the richest contract ever for a tight end. The contract came with an $8 million signing bonus. He’s currently out with a broken arm, though he’s expected to return to the team in time for the postseason.

In 10 games this season, Gronkowski has caught 53 passes and an NFL-leading 10 touchdowns. His 748 are tops among tight ends, too.
