Mortar Shell Found In Haverhill Home

HAVERHILL (CBS) – A mortar shell was found in a home on Greenlawn Ave. in Haverhill Monday afternoon.

The State Police Bomb Squad responded and homes in the area were evacuated for about an hour.

The mortar was taken to Fort Devens where it will be disposed of.

It was was found when someone was cleaning the home.
