WALTHAM (CBS) – A dog left for dead in a dumpster is getting a second chance but he needs help.

Sherlock the German Shepherd was found three weeks ago starving.

He is still severely underweight and struggling with other health issues.

He’s being nursed back to health at Vetcision emergency referral hospital in Waltham.

His medical needs are being paid for by the Friends of the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter, but they need donations.
