MATTAPAN (CBS) – Police say a truck took down three poles and a tangle of wires early Tuesday morning and left the scene.
Around 3 a.m., police believe a truck got stuck on some wires on Woodgate Street, stretched the wires and snapped three poles. Police found live wires on the street.
The truck driver did not stop and police say the driver may not have known about the damage.
NSTAR was called to the scene to shut off power.
Residents in the area were not evacuated but roads in the area are closed as crews work to repair the damage.
Police say it may take a couple of days to clean up.
