Ridley Gives Patriots Running Backs 'Adult Onesies'

BOSTON (CBS) - While Stevan Ridley has given the Patriots run game a new shot of life with his play on the field, he's also giving the running back group a different kind of fashion.

One that likely brings them back to their much younger days.

Ridley has been spotted wearing an adult "onesie" around the New England locker room. While onesies are usually meant for infants, Ridley doesn't mind all the odd looks he gets from most of his teammates. He even decided to turn it into a team thing and get one for each of the New England running backs.

"It's just kind of a small joke, just to put some smiles on the faces in the locker room," Ridley said on Friday. "The running backs are holding it together as a unit. Like Bill says, 'it's all about the team.' I can't just be the only one in it, so I had to get one for all of them."

"It's a team thing," he said. "I tried to get my running backs coach (Ivan Fears) one, but he wasn't going for it."

Ridley owns six onesies of his own, and hopes to become a spokesperson for them. Until then, he'll do his best to pitch them to his team.

"Maybe you'll all walk in here one day and the whole squad will be in them," he said with a smile. "You never know."

That includes head coach Bill Belichick, who Ridley is trying to get a onesie of his own.

"I'm going to do my job and try," he said with a chuckle.

Along with the looks, the onesies have gotten Ridley a new nickname too.

"They call me an angry telletubbie," he said. "So it is what it is."
