Sister: 'Time Is Of The Essence' In Search For Missing Grad Student

BOSTON (CBS) - Police, family and friends are still looking for a missing graduate student who disappeared on Tuesday.

Jonathan Dailey, 23, of North Carolina, is a second year student Boston Architectural College. According to his roommate, Miles Smith, he was last seen Tuesday night around Gardner Street in Brighton.

"It's not unusual for him to step out," Smith said. "I went on to bed, and never heard him come back in."

His parents flew up to assist in the search. On Sunday, they were handing out flyers with Dailey's picture on them.

"Time is of the essence, so we are pushing as fast as we can, as hard as we can, with every lead we can possibly get," said Dailey's sister, Robyn Hoffman.

Unfortunately, leads have been hard to come by.

"We gained access to his email account, banking information, and cell phone and there has been no activity by any of those since Tuesday," Smith said.

Dailey, who currently lives in Brighton and also works at American Apparel in Cambridge, never showed up to his job on Friday.

"We've just had no contact with him. His phone has been off," Dailey's father, Bruce, said. "We are just asking everyone, anyone who has seen him, to help us get our son back."

He was last seen wearing a button down shirt and white shorts. Dailey is 5'9", 160 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo on his left bicep which is described as a black stripe.

Family members say Dailey had no history of mental illness, no history of drugs or alcohol, and did not have a girlfriend.

Anyone who sees him should alert police.
