WALTHAM (CBS) – A Waltham man has been arrested in connection with the crash that injured a Bentley College student in September.

Police arrested Eric Romero, 23, of Belmont, and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.

The crash happened just after midnight on Saturday, Sept. 16, on Chestnut Street. Police say Romero did not stop after hitting the 18-year-old student with his black Ford Mustang.

Waltham Police say they used the mirror that fell off Romero’s car to track down the driver.

The victim is still recovering at home.
