CARVER (CBS) – A Carver homeowner’s security camera came in handy when their home was broken into last week.

It caught a thief on video and now police are using that clip to track him down.

A white man, believed to be in his thirties, is seen in the video hopping over a gate at the bottom of a staircase in the home.

Police did not release the address or what the thief took.

He was wearing black-framed glasses, a dark-colored, short-sleeved polo shirt with white shorts, white ankle socks and black shoes.

The man also had a silver watch on his left wrist and black gloves. He may have been driving a midsize black sedan.
