BOSTON (CBS) – Across the country this weekend, people will walk to raise money and awareness for autism research.
Autism Speaks is the leading autism advocacy organization and their walks raise a lot of money.
Last year they raised $28 million and the number of children with autism is on the rise.
The group says right now, one in 88 children in the U.S. is autistic.
If you would like to participate, head out to Suffolk Downs this Sunday and you can take a one mile lap around the track to do your part.
