BROOKLINE (CBS) – Boston University students have been warned again after three more people were robbed at gunpoint near campus.

Police say three men went up to the victims at the corner of Egmont and St. Paul streets in Brookline on Tuesday night.

One of the men had a handgun.

The thieves took a backpack and fled.

This past weekend two students had their smartphones taken in a similar robbery. It’s not clear if the two robberies are related.

A description of the suspects has not been released. Brookline and BU police officers have stepped up patrols in the area.
