BOSTON (CBS) – Officials from numerous agencies are investigating after a person is struck and killed by a commuter rail train in the area of Newton Street in Brighton.
The MBCR (Mass Bay Commuter Rail) says the victim was trespassing on the rails when struck around 6:40 Saturday night. The train was carrying between 400 and 500 people at the time.
Police are still on scene investigating as of 7:45 p.m.
There is no word at this time why the victim was on the tracks. No ID has been released.
