WORCESTER (CBS) – A State Trooper has been indicted by a Worcester Superior Court grand jury on charges of indecent assault and battery and open and gross lewdness.
The allegations against Jason Willard, 38, date back four years. Investigators say the alleged incident involved an 18-year-old woman and happened while Willard was off-duty.
Willard, who was stationed at the Sturbridge Barracks, and has been with the State Police since 2002, has been relieved of duty.
He turned over his service weapon, cruiser, badge, and MSP identification.
He is scheduled to be arraigned next week. State Police will hold a hearing Monday to determine any change in Willard’s duty status.
