MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – A New Hampshire high school is about to embark on an interesting experiment.
Manchester’s school board voted to allow high school students to use their cell phones in school.
Under the test program, students will only be allowed to text, and they’ll only be allowed to do so in designated areas.
Those areas include the cafeteria, study halls, and corridors. Phone usage will still be banned from classrooms.
A school board member says teachers were spending too much time enforcing the cell phone ban.
