BOSTON (CBS) – Republican Senator Scott Brown is about to receive an endorsement from a sitting Democratic State Representative.

Massachusetts Rep. Chris Fallon’s office told WBZ-TV on Friday morning that he was preparing to endorse Senator Brown later in the morning.

According to the Brown campaign, Fallon, who has represented the 33rd Middlesex District since 1997, is the first sitting Democratic member of the Massachusetts State House to cross party lines and publicly back Brown.

Brown is locked in a heated race with Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren.
