BOSTON (CBS) – On Monday, the nation will pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
In memory of the firefighters lost in New York, a huge charity bike ride takes place this weekend.
It’s called the Tour De Force.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Kim Tunnicliffe reports
This year, that ride leaves out of Boston on Saturday and ends on September 11th at the former site of the World Trade Center in Manhattan.
Most of the riders are firefighters and law enforcement. The ride has grown over the years; and riders come from all across the country.
All of the money raised helps support families of fallen officers.
If you would like more information about the ride or how to donate, you can visit the ride’s website.
