WBZ Radio At The GOP Convention: Thursday Highlights

TAMPA (CBS) - The Main Event is tonight. GOP delegates, radio and TV audiences listen to Mitt Romney deliver his RNC speech to the nation. Scott Romney, Mitt's brother, says it has sunk in that his brother is accepting the nomination for President tonight, and he says, "long ago he learned that his brother, is an exceptional human being."

Scott Romney says, "his brother is somebody that really has the ability to take on this enormous challenge."

Senator Scott Brown has arrived in Tampa for the RNC. The Senator says it is important to have others like him down there, who will work with people on both sides of social issues.

On not taking part in the convention, Sen. Brown says, it was not about distancing himself from the Republican Party: "I have other obligations: I have to do my military duty, I have to be a dad, I have to be a husband, I have to do my Senatorial duties and there are only so many hours in the day."

Senator Brown says he is honored to be at the RNC in Tampa.
