LOWELL (CBS) – Charges have not been filed in the case of a baby boy who was left inside a hot car in Lowell Saturday and later died.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Kim Tunncliffe reports

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said early indications are it was a tragic accident.

A father found his 9-month-old son had been left alone in a hot car Saturday afternoon on Huntington Street.

He called 911 after he realized the boy was not breathing. The baby died a short time later at a hospital.

The parents’ names have not been released. It’s not clear yet how long the child was in the car.

Temperatures were in the 80’s there Saturday afternoon.

Neighbors told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 the couple has two other children.
