WELLESLEY (CBS) – Police say a cyclist was struck and killed by a truck on Weston Road in Wellesley Friday afternoon.
Police are looking for a red and black truck that fled the scene after the accident. The truck was last seen heading north on Weston Road.
The victim is identified as 41-year-old Alexander Motsenigos of Wellesley. He was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Motsenigos was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Police have not released a description of the driver of the truck.
The Wellesley Police Department is urging anyone who was in the area of Weston Road, Linden Street or Wellesley Square at the time of the crash and who may have observed the incident to please contact the Wellesley Police Department at 781-235-1212.
