Olympic Gold Medalist Kayla Harrison Honored In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - Just days after winning America's first ever Olympic gold medal for judo, Wakefield's Kayla Harrison is back in Massachusetts for a welcome home party.
Empire Asian Restaurant and Lounge on the Waterfront hosted Harrison and her coach Jimmy Pedro at a celebration Sunday evening.
Harrison trained with Pedro, the two-time Olympic bronze medalist, prior to competing in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Harrison will be one of five Olympians honored before Monday night's Patriots-Eagles game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
