Raymond Ost at Julia Child’s table at Sandrine’s in Cambridge.
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Legendary local chef Julia Child would have been 100 years old on Wednesday and to celebrate the occasion, local restaurants are featuring Julia Child specials.
Raymond Ost opened his French restaurant, Sandrine’s, in Harvard Square 16 years ago. Among his regular customers was his good friend, Julia Child, who was in there twice a week.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Carl Stevens reports
At her favorite table, she’d order some of her favorites, which Chef Ost is featuring to mark her birthday.
By the huge open-air window next to Holyoke Street she’d happily consume escargot, scallops, and for dessert: Peach Melba.
