Source: Red Sox Middlebrooks Out With Broken Wrist

BOSTON (CBS) - The news just keeps getting worse in Boston. This time, it appears one of the Red Sox few bright spots is headed to the DL.

A Major League source tells WBZ-TV's Dan Roche that Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks has a broken right wrist after getting hit Friday night by a pitch in the 9th inning.

Middlebrooks is batting .288 with 15 HR and 54 RBI in 75 games with the Red Sox.

The Sox will call up third baseman Danny Valencia from Pawtucket and he will join the Red Sox in Cleveland Saturday.
