CSNNE Red Sox Insider Sean McAdam called in to talk to Hardy and Mike Flynn about the Red Sox. The guys talk about Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, and Wednesday’s 10-9 loss to the Rangers.

“The really good front-line guys figure out a way to minimize the damage when they don’t have their best stuff,” McAdam said. “And their bad outings are four, five, maybe six runs scored. Beckett’s bad outings this year — the first one of the year in Detroit, the infamous one against Cleveland right after the golf/lat incident, and the one yesterday afternoon — you can’t be giving up eight runs and not giving your team a chance to win.

“Even though they’ve both been disappointing, I think Beckett has been far more so.”

McAdam discusses what the Sox can do in the future with Beckett and whether the righty’s mind-set is OK.
