Rindge, NH Police Officer Charged With Attempted Sexual Assault
HARRISVILLE, NH (CBS) - A Rindge, New Hampshire police officer is facing charges of Attempted Sexual Assault.
John Vargas-Cifrino, 35, of Harrisville, New Hampshire is accused of attempting to perform a sexual act on an underage girl.
Additional charges are expected.
Vargas-Cifrino has since resigned from the police force. He also works as a paraprofessional at the Conval High School in Peterborough.
Vargas-Cifrino has been ordered to avoid unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18. Other conditions of his bail are that he must turn over any firearms, undergo continued mental health counseling, and surrender his passport.
