Webster Issues Emergency Water Ban After Line Break

WEBSTER (CBS) – The town of Webster has imposed an emergency water ban, due to a major water main break.

A transmission line broke Thursday night.

It was isolated but about one million gallons of stored water was lost.

“We ask that there is no unnecessary use of water until further notice as the system’s storage is at a critically low level,” Assistant Water Superintendent Kevin Esposito said in a statement Friday.
