Wednesday's Child: 10-Year-Old Tim

BOSTON (CBS) - Tim is an active and outgoing 10-year-old Caucasian boy.

He has taken up golf, basketball and swimming and enjoys them all!

Tim and his foster father share a mutually respectful relationship and enjoy doing these activities together. Tim also has friends in the neighborhood with whom he enjoys playing and spend time.

In his down time, Tim likes toys and games that are hands on; he especially likes Legos and Kinex.

He is thriving with a strong male figure in his life but he would also do well with a mother and a father. Tim enjoys the attention of being the only child in the home, but he would also be fine with older children in the home.

At school, Tim has been supported in mainstream classes by his teachers and an Individualized Education Plan.  This fall, however, will be a major transition as he enters into middle school and balances classes with new peer relationships.

Tim is described by his social worker as engaging and charming, and he is working to showcase these qualities in forming relationships with other kids at school.

Tim is legally free for adoption and would like to maintain some contact with his grandmother and sister.

To learn more about Stephen, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
