BOSTON (CBS) — Save the date, Patriots fans. The Pats are getting their 2012 season under way on July 26.
The team announced Tuesday that this year’s training camp will begin Thursday, July 26.
The first practice of camp will take place that day from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and will be open to the public, as will practice sessions the following three days at the same time.
Practices after July 29 will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
As has been the case with all Pats training camps in recent years, the “Patriots Experience” will be open to families enjoying camp. Admission and parking are free. Certain players will also sign autographs for fans after practices, which will take place on the practice fields at Gillette Stadium.
The players will report to camp on July 25, though practices won’t begin until the following day.
The team’s first preseason game will take place at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 9.
