BOSTON (CBS)– The “dirty” water in the Charles River is being called dangerous.

Health officials say potentially toxic algae is growing near the MIT boathouse.  It’s the result of the recent warm weather.  Typically we see these algae blooms later in the summer.

People are being warned not to drink or touch the water, and keep animals away from it as well.
