AMC Harvard Square Theater Closing After 90 Years

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Harvard Square is losing another longstanding staple.

AMC Loews announced it will be closing the Harvard Square Theater that’s been in business for nearly 90 years.

For the past 28 years, the theater has shown The Rocky Horror Picture Show every Saturday at midnight.

Fans of the cult classic often dress up and sing along with the film.

The theater opened back in 1925.

It’s slated to close on July 8. After that, AMC plans to sell the property.
