Casual Male Clothing Chain Is Winding Down
BOSTON (CBS) - Hundreds of Casual Male stores across the country will be closed over the next few years. The Canton-based chain is launching a new chain of men's superstores called Destination XL.
The first Massachusetts location opens next week in Natick.
Casual Male CEO David Levin tells me he tested this concept a couple of years ago in four different markets around the country.

Levin says the size of the stores is expanded from 3,000-3,500 square feet to about 10,000 square feet. He says Destination XL stores offer about 4 times the selection of Casual Male stores.
400 Casual Male stores will close. In their place, about 225 Destination XL stores will open.
