Felger and Massarotti opened the day discussing the Boston Red Sox and their struggles.
Mazz opened things up by venting about the coffee cup lid situation in the station’s kitchen area. When Mazz was finally done, the guys got into the Sox. Are the Red Sox all on a different page? How tough is this Red Sox team?
Felger said a major issue with the team has been the lack of direction. Is this team going to go young, or will it keep the veteran core and add complementary pieces?
“I can’t tell you which way they’re going. I don’t think they’ve clearly defined it,” Felger said.
If the Sox struggles continue, how ugly can things get? Is it time for the Red Sox to go younger and rebuild? What direction are the Red Sox heading in? When will the Red Sox front office wipe the slate clean and start fresh?
