BOSTON (CBS) – A Commuter Rail train caught fire at North Station on Thursday.

The fire was burning in the engine section of the train on Track 1 at the platform after 1 p.m.

“The area of the engine and the stack rising from the engine were bright red from heat,” fire officials said in a tweet.

For a short time, crews shut down Tracks 1, 2 and 3 while firefighters tackled the flames.

All of the tracks re-opened within an hour.

Crews put out the flames and left the scene before 3 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
