TEWKSBURY (CBS) – A 14-year-old boy who had been missing since Thursday afternoon was found safe on Friday.
Anthony McNeil was found around 7:00 p.m. walking on Pleasant Street alone in Tewksbury. Police say he was in good condition and was being reunited with his father.
McNeil, an 8th grader at the Wynn School, reportedly called his father after school on Thursday and told him he was going to walk over to Livingston Street to watch the baseball games going on there.
Anthony asked his father to pick him up around 5:30 p.m.
Police say the boy’s father made several trips to the fields between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm, but was unable to find him. Witnesses confirm McNeil was at the Livingston Street fields Thursday afternoon, but it’s unclear where he spent the night.
Police say he’s adopted and has recently been trying to reach out to some of his biological siblings in the greater Boston area through Facebook. He had made contact with one of his siblings last Friday.
