BOSTON (CBS) — A female masseuse collapsed and died inside the home of Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh on Monday, according to Local10 in Miami.
The report said that she went to Bosh’s house at 10:30 a.m. on Monday but lost consciousness. The police report said that she battled cancer a year ago.
The Miami New Times said that Bosh was likely not home at the time, as the team was traveling home from Boston.
“A beautiful soul was lost tonight,” Adrienne Bosh, wife of the NBA player, wrote on Twitter. “Never take the here and now for granted. Life can be so frail.”
Bosh has been out of action for Miami since suffering an abdominal injury in Game 1 of the team’s second-round series against the Pacers. He is a game-time decision for Game 5 on Tuesday night.
The identity of the woman has not been made public.
